January 4, 2009The truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message that is not available to everyone. It can only be understood by faith, which is a gift from God. Therefore, salvation comes by way of the gift of faith, and following that, the Christian life comes by that same gift. Neither of these–salvation or living by faith–can be chosen or figured out by man. It is the work of God to choose who will believe in Him. It is the work of God to reveal these things.
As Pastor of Life Talk Ministries, I am called to preach this Gospel of the Kingdom of God. In doing so, God intends to strengthen, encourage, and comfort His church with revelation knowledge about what happened on the Cross of His Son and how that changes the way we live. Of course, I am speaking of how He changed our lives, not about how we are supposed to change ourselves. Everything that God the Father required in order for salvation and new life to become possible for all who believe was completed on the Cross. Thus, Jesus proclaimed, “It is finished”.
